Position Summary:
The DC Director is responsible for the overall performance of the Distribution Center to include warehouse operations, store delivery, inventory management, localized store services, asset management, and human resources administration. The Distribution Center Director plans, organizes, staffs, directs, and controls related functions and activities within the Distribution Center. The selection, professional development, and engagement of all Distribution Center employees are critical responsibilities that must be carried out with a global perspective conducive to CVS' operating philosophy while maintaining a union free status.
The Distribution Center Director provides assistance
and input to top Management in establishing Distribution Center performance objectives and is accountable for achieving prescribed Company objectives while operating as a low cost provider of optimized distribution services.

Direct, coordinate, and control activities that relate to the efficient & timely processing of inbound freight.
Direct, coordinate, and control the various functions related to inventory management while ensuring that the Warehouse Service Level is maintained at or above the prescribed Company objective.
Direct, coordinate, and control all warehouse functions while following all Compliance procedures in order to meet or exceed established warehouse metrics.
Direct, coordinate, and control the timely processing of store ordering requirements while maintaining a work load backlog status that is within the Company prescribed objective.
Direct, coordinate, and control all functions that are related to the timely Shipping of processed orders to CVS stores.
Direct, coordinate, and control the timely processing of merchandise purchased for CVS Promotions and Seasonal Events, as well as the CVS prescription drug item assortment.
Direct, coordinate, and maintain the Human Resources and Loss Prevention functions.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with Store Operations, Purchasing, Co-Op Advertising,General Accounting, Loss Prevention, Human Resources, and various other Corporate Departments.

Required Qualifications:
5+ years of prior general management experience in a multi-shift, high volume distribution/manufacturing environment.

2-3 years experience with aggressive and effective management of the Distribution Center P&L.

Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees.
Ability to analyze information effectively and consistently.

Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
