Kidde Fire Protection Systems (FPS) Systems is currently seeking a Senior Engineer- Mechanical for the Wilson location. Kidde FPS is a global organization of close to 900 employees with offices in the UK, Australia, France and Germany and headquartered in Wilson, North Carolina, USA. We design, manufacture and service fire protection systems and components and provide integrated solutions for commercial, regional, business and military aircraft, helicopters and other platforms. Job Description:

Create program schedule and NREProcess through approval processReview customer requirements documents and coordinate with IPT to create compliance matrices
Drive creation of proposal technical response
Coordinate support to BD through proposal and contracts award
Once awarded, kick off program with IPTLaunch schedule in MSPSHold weekly IPT meetings to review and drive schedule, highlight upcoming needs and drive Standard Work uploading progress
Maintain schedule and monitor program spend
Communicate SDRL needs to various disciplines and drive completion, review and approval
Drive drawing creation, parts pre-planning and initial hardware builds
Communicate new design needs to NPI team to initiate that process to support timely hardware delivery
Drive qualification test planning
Review test set-ups
Ensure documentation needs are communicated
Support weekly customer calls
Drive mutual communication of issues that arise
Support/lead weekly program customer calls
Support key design reviews in creation of applicable slides and drive action item closure
Present project schedule and budget as needed
Adhere to all EH&S and Ethics performance and training requirements
Other tasks as assigned

Qualification: 7+ years in Design/Manufacturing company or equivalent
Education: BS Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or other comparable
