Overview

Responsible for supporting Baxter's communication with the external financial community, including preparation of quarterly earnings releases, conference presentation materials, and management support.

Critical Responsibilities

  • Act as key contact daily for requests from individual and retail investors.
  • Continuously track sell-side analyst estimates and expectations regarding Baxter's financial and operational performance.
  • Prepare and provide financial support materials to CEO, CFO, and VP IR.
  • Coordinate with business unit strategic planning and/or finance functions to create financial models as basis from which to guide the external analyst community.
  • Prepare analysis of product line sales detail from each business (actual, constant and forecasted).
  • Prepare competitive analysis, shareholder returns, and stock performance materials for quarterly presentation to the Board of Directors.
  • Benchmark competitor information and provide updates/recommendations to management.
  • Provide support materials (identified above) to CEO, CFO, business unit presidents and investor relations team for Analyst/Investor meetings, Annual Shareholder Meeting, etc.

    Key Qualifications

  • Self-starter with strong analytical skills and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong technical and financial knowledge, including understanding of internal control requirements and accounting principles as well as understanding of relevant business environment.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, often cross-functionally.
  • Working knowledge of PC applications (i.e. Excel/Access).
  • Strong analytical skills with familiarity with accounting, financial analysis and reporting.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to manage tasks concurrently
  • Owns career and is accountable for managing own development

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (or country equivalent).
  • Demonstration of key finance competencies and qualifications and typically 4 years of relevant experience with financial planning and reporting.
