Current Need

The Supplylogix business unit is currently seeing a Sr. Financial Analyst for the Westlake, TX location.

Position Description

Responsible for supporting general functions of the BU such analyzing, interpreting, and consolidating financial data for reporting, planning, and maintenance of controls. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance.  This individual will be responsible for working on various facets of the order-to-cash process, producing analytics per management’s requests, and product profitability analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops working knowledge of existing financial reports and presentations that support existing revenue goals. Monitors actual results of financial data against plans, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Oversees monthly billing process and submits billing details to Billing Team
  • Develop working knowledge of our contract structure and contract terms associated with each customer to help ensure accurate billing and be able to assist with business-related questions surrounding customers
  • Support and maintain revenue recognition waterfall schedules when necessary according to billing terms of the contract
  • Participates in the annual planning process and on-going monthly forecasts, taking ownership of understanding, validating, and supporting the rationale for the financial forecast of revenue, operating expenses, assets and cash flow. Facilitates the explanation of variances to the plan and the forecast to Management.
  • Prepare presentations for Senior Management that provide line of sight into financial performance
  • Complete various ad hoc requests

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
5+ years accounting, finance, finance analytics or similar experience

Critical Skills

  • Problem solving, analytical and financial modeling skills - ability to identify the root cause of issues, propose possible solutions or improvements and influence ultimate decision
  • Prior experience with financial modeling specific to budgeting and forecasting of the P&L
  • Ability to work with and communicate with all organization levels, including senior management
  • Ability to present and explain financial information to non-finance professionals
  • Excellent team player with ability to flexible and adaptable 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize appropriately to meet competing deadlines
  • Possesses attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced user in both Microsoft Excel and Power Point     
  • Prior experience utilizing a large ERP system; such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, etc…



Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • BW reporting and report-building experience
  • Prior experience with profitability analysis
  • Experience with SaaS revenue recognition and managing deferred


Education
MBA preferred in finance or related field or equivalent experience
