  • Review monthly accounting and reporting by third-party property managers for multiple real estate holdings
  • Review monthly account and reporting of joint venture investments
  • Review general ledger account reconciliations and reports, as prepared by staff-level investment accountants
  • Assist staff in resolving issues and questions from third-party property managers
  • Accounts for real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and financing transactions
  • Review standard fund-level accounting entries and ensure they are in compliance with GAAP and internal guidelines
  • Ensures compliance with SOX and other internal procedures
  • Review and provide supporting documentation for SOX and audit purposes
  • Document system controls and procedures, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Review and prepare responses to ad hoc requests on an as-needed basis
  • Provide other business support, as needed





Required Skills:

  • 5-7 years of accounting work experience with emphasis on real estate accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Proficient in Excel and Word
  • Excellent communication skills; this role involves regular interaction with management, peers, and internal and external business partners
  • Self-directed, self-starter, and motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to apply technical knowledge to identify ways to complete assignments efficiently and improve existing procedures
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of GAAP to ensure the accurate accounting and reporting for real estate and debt funds

Preferred Skills:

  • MBA or CPA is preferred
  • Knowledge of Yardi system is a plus
