Sr. IT Product Manager, Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain

The Sr. IT Manager will be part of Depuy-Synthes Supply Chain (DS-SC) IT department. The role will be the primary IT partner to enable SC transformation and innovation initiatives of the Orthopedic business


The individual will be an IT leader Introducing, shaping and driving execution of new technologies in Supply chain and new go-to market strategies

  • (IoT) Internet of things enabled supply chain
  • End-to-end Value chain improvement and transformation (From Vendor to Customer)
  • SC enablement using 3D print technologies
The role will partner with different business functions of Commercial, SC, Customer Logistics Services organization and External partners to identify SC transformation/improvement opportunities, build business case, build cross functional teams to lead and deliver IT capabilities. The role will lead multiple small-mid scale global projects at any time leveraging internal and external functions

The project execution will be global in nature that will require this role to lead and manage resources globally in NA, EMEA and ASPAC


The individual will work across internal IT shared services groups and external services provides to drive systems strategy and execution. The individual will connect with senior business and IT leaders to identify insights development opportunity, develop business case/approval, build a team and lead execution of multiple parallel analytics projects


The role will manage senior stakeholders from Directors to Sr. VPs in business as well as IT functions.


Scale of job responsibility: Stakeholders (10-12 Directors, 2-3 VPs)

Budget responsibility: $3 MM to $10 MM annually

People responsibility: Lead team members ranging from 10-30

Regions to impact and manage stakeholders: NA, EMEA and ASPAC


Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Business solution shaping and process re-engineering
  • Demand/portfolio & budget management
  • Lead multiple parallel teams in a matrix management structure with multiple internal and external groups
  • Strategy development and translating into executable plans
  • Accountable to sustain operational solutions leveraging IT shared services

  • A minimum of a Bachelor degree is required. An advanced degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of IT experience in designing, building and running business applications is required
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience within Supply Chain field is required (IT or SC function)
  • Experience in one of more of new generation SC technologies is required - product tracking, partner collaboration technologies, Supply chain modeling, 3D print enabled supply chain
  • Healthcare industry experience is preferred but not required
  • The ability to interact and lead at various levels within the organization and across regional organizations is required
  • Previous lead experience in a large global organization with a global mindset in presenting ideas within high complexity systems landscape is a must
  • The successful candidate must be self-motivated, have the ability to work with minimal supervision and have strong influencing skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, build productive relationships, make decisions in an ambiguous environment, understand technical concepts, manage a portfolio of projects and effectively communicate are required for this role
  • Demonstrated leadership, as well as proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partnerships in a large corporation is required 
  • Proven track record of identifying process improvements and developing systematic solutions is required
  • Prior experience managing people and/or leading teams is preferred
  • This position can be located in any Depuy-Synthes facility (ideally in PA or NJ) with flexibility to work in global time-zones based on the need 
  • Require up to 25% domestic and/or international travel
