The Sr. IT Manager will be part of Depuy-Synthes Supply Chain (DS-SC) IT department. The role will be the primary IT partner to functions of DS-SC innovation and Instruments group. The individual will also be accountable for shaping and driving Data and Analytics capabilities for DS SC


The individual will be an IT leader shaping and driving execution of DS-SC transformation from a Make-to-Stock to Make-to-Order initiatives. The role will partner with DS-SC, Commercial, Customer Logistics Services organization and External partners to develop roadmap, build business case, build cross functional teams to lead and deliver IT capabilities. As part of the transformational effort the role will lead multiple mid-large scale global projects across functional groups of Plan, Make, Source, Deliver and commercial ops to execute supply chain transformation


The project execution will be global in nature that will require this role to lead and manage resources globally in NA, EMEA and ASPAC


As the leader of Data & Analytics capability of DS-SC, this role will be accountable to shape the DS analytics strategy in partnership with enterprise architecture; IT shared services groups and functional leaders of Depuy-Synthes SC. The individual will lead a forum of senior business and IT leaders to identify insights development opportunity, develop business case/approval, build a team and lead execution of multiple parallel analytics projects


The role will manage senior stakeholders from Directors to Sr. VPs in business as well as IT functions.


Scale of job responsibility: Stakeholders (10-12 Directors, 2-3 VPs)

Budget responsibility: $5 MM to $15 MM annually

People responsibility: 20-30 direct/indirect team members

Regions to impact and manage stakeholders: NA, EMEA and ASPAC


Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Business solution shaping and process re-engineering
  • Demand/portfolio & budget management
  • Lead multiple parallel teams in a matrix management structure with multiple internal and external groups
  • Strategy development and translating into executable plans
  • Accountable to sustain operational solutions leveraging IT shared services

  • A minimum of a Bachelor degree is required. An advanced degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of IT experience in designing, building and running business applications is required
  • Healthcare industry experience is preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience within Supply Chain IT is highly preferred
  • This candidate must have a strong background with supply chain related technologies especially ERP (SAP) is preferred.
  • The candidate must be a strong leader and team player
  • The ability to interact and lead at various levels within the organization and across regional organizations is required
  • Previous experience in a large global organization with a global mindset in presenting ideas within high complexity systems landscape is a must
  • The successful candidate must be self-motivated, have the ability to work with minimal supervision and have strong influencing skills
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities, build productive relationships, make decisions in an ambiguous environment, understand technical concepts, manage a portfolio of projects and effectively communicate are required for this role
  • Demonstrated leadership, as well as proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partnerships in a large corporation is required 
  • Proven track record of identifying process improvements and developing systematic solutions is required
  • Prior experience managing people and/or leading teams is preferred
  • This position can be located in any Depuy-Synthes facility (ideally in PA, NJ, Indiana, Switzerland or Ireland) with flexibility to work in global time-zones based on the need 
  • Require up to 25% domestic and/or international travel
