A Senior IT Solutions Architect job in Boise, ID is available courtesy of Adecco Engineering and Technology. As a qualified candidate you will be responsible for ensuring the business systems and technical solutions of the organization are supported by the enterprise architectural strategies and align with business goals. Ensure the design of common services and conceptual structures to meet the current and long-term business requirements of the enterprise. Plan and design activities to include: utilizing cross system data exchange methods; enterprise services; data interchange strategies; data handling rules; data to business process mapping and service orientated architectures.

IT Solution Architect Responsibilities Include:


Participate on the Company's internal team & efforts. Develop corporate-wide standards for software solutions definition, design, development, technology, and deployment.
Lead cross-functional teams composed of senior technical resources chartered with aligning current and future technology solutions that optimize business processes in support of our customers.
Educate about the business value of solutions architecture and solutions development. Present proposals and recommendations to the IS Leadership Team and business leaders as required. Serve in an advisory/consultative role for major IS projects, to ensure consistent and pragmatic designs and implementations are in accordance with sanctioned standards and guidelines.
Support the repositories of information maintained by Enterprise Architecture Team including application portfolios and third party tools.
Research issues, produce proposals, and recommendations, and work to achieve consensus.
Research and report on new technologies, tools and solutions and conducting feasibility studies to demonstrate design techniques.
Provide mentorship and guidance to IS development teams in institutionalizing industry best practices into application, data, infrastructure architecture, design, and programming activities.
Maintain a functional knowledge of best practices and technological developments in the information technology industry.
Collaborate with Business Process Management, Project Management, application, solution, and development teams. Promote solutions development best practices, software quality, and champion the benefits of enterprise software design to business functional and technical leaders.
Co-lead and execute complex Enterprise Architecture program initiatives across the Information Services Division and in alignment with the company's business requirements.
Support the Enterprise Architect Team in representing the Company's level to influence Architecture and technology roadmaps that may impact the company.
Perform other duties as requested by Director.


Required Skills/Qualifications:

Seven (7) years in IT, with at least five years in information system design
Designing and implementing solutions and software management processes
Five (5)years in a software development oriented job such as a software engineer or IS Analyst
Familiarity working with Enterprise Architecture methodologies & frameworks (such as Zachman, TOGAF, Federal Enterprise Architecture, etc)


Bachelor's degree in an information systems or business related field


Web service technologies, such as Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) or Representational State Transfer (REST)
Software development in .NET (C#) or Java
Service-Oriented Architecture standards and practices
Industry-leading enterprise software development methodologies and techniques including Agile/Scrum
XML technologies
Messaging techniques

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree in Information Management Systems or related field
Knowledge of the Healthcare Insurance industry or related environment
Experience/familiarity with insurance industry standards
Hands-on experience implementing complex enterprise solutions
Familiarity with EDI & HIPAA transaction specifications
Familiarity and experience with Information Security principles
Familiarity and experience with Data Architecture principles & practices
Familiarity and experience with the SPARX Enterprise Architect tool
Software platforms and technologies such as:

OS (Unix, Windows, IBM)
Database (Sybase, SQL-Server, MySQL)
Networks
Security (networks, application, SOA)
Service Bus, Middleware, 837
