Job Description
The lab technician is responsible for the following tasks:

  • HFCS and sampling and testing
  • Ingredient Sampling
  • Perform laboratory housekeeping
  • Taste testing set up & Taste Testing
  • Microbiological sampling and testing
  • Prepare routine reagents/solutions
  • Managing SAP inputs
  • Syrup testing
  • Instrument calibration and set-up
  • Water testing
  • Water treatment plant operation
  • Issuing syrup formulas to mixers
  • Assisting with internal and external audits
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

    Competencies/Skills
    1. Ability to plan and organize multiple tasks and projects
    2. Strong team player with initiative and high level of performance
    3. Effective personal computer skills (Microsoft Excel and Word)
    4. Effective communication and writing skills
    5. Ability to function effectively under short time constraints, requiring occasional work outside of normal schedule.
    6. Knowledge of general chemistry and basic math skills
