Responsibilities:
  • Lead all initiatives to ensure that we protect, defend, and grow our commercial aftermarket sales year over year
  • Identify new opportunities and manage a structured pursuit pipeline to meet/exceed quarterly business booking targets.
  • Champion matrix team deliverables to ensure that upgraded products are developed and qualified in-time to support the business' sales commitments per the strategic plan.
  • Facilitate support by United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS) Global Customer Management team / network in the pursuit and capture of key programs and positions in the commercial aftermarket.
  • Identify, develop, and cultivate strategic partnerships necessary to meet and exceed short and long term sales growth objectives
  • Drive distribution network to attain business growth objectives through new business wins and capturing market share
  • Support product training of distribution representatives and collaborate on customer engagement strategies
  • Oversee development of pricing and negotiation strategies which support target capture plans
  • Help negotiate terms of business contracts in conjunction with legal counsel/contracts and program management personnel
  • Foster positive customer relationships and act as primary business unit focal for communication with OEMs, Operators, MROs, and the distribution network
  • Liaison between business unit operations and demand management functions to ensure mature and robust Sales Inventory Operations planning is achieved.
  • Validate market demand levels with distributor input to ensure manufacturing forecast accuracy and alignment with macro-economic trends
  • Proactively monitor market or regulatory changes and communicate strategies to team that address and leverage those changes
  • Identify potential new product development opportunities based on customer and market needs
  • Manage and provide leadership to direct reports in various geographic sites across the Systems & Integrated Systems business unit
*Education / Certifications
  • BA/BS degree required w/10+ years experience
  • Or MA/MS degree w/7+ years experience
  • Or PhD degree w/4+ years experience
*Experience / Qualifications
  • 10 or more years in business development, customer management, technical sales, or have adequate product knowledge and skill set
  • Aerospace industry experience is highly preferred within the global regional, business, general aviation, and commercial transport aerospace market
  • Strong technical aptitude is required to develop understanding and train others on SIS products and systems
  • Ability to work with diverse colleagues and customers - in background and geographic location
  • Solid understanding of common office technology, including Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proven track record of managing projects, closing business deals, and maintaining positive long-term business relationships
  • Ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple tasks simultaneously and with a high degree of autonomy
  • Domestic and international travel is approximately 25%, but could be higher if required to achieve emergent business objectives and deliverables.

Qualification: •10 or more years in business development, customer management, technical sales, or have adequate product knowledge and skill set
