The Senior Manager, Business Process/Six Sigma will lead the team partnering with McKesson's distribution center network in the West region. Interacting with SVP/VPs and senior directors, leads process improvement projects within and across business units and multiple functions of high complexity. These projects are identified and scoped independently. Cost savings potential of projects generally in the six- to eight-figure range.Position Description
Plans, manages, and controls the activities of a team that provides operational support for the West region distribution centers
Leads project identification, execution and communication for process improvement initiatives across the region, distribution network, and other business functions
Recruits, develops, and mentors blackbelts, greenbelts, and yellowbelts within the West region
Coordinate effective communication and change management for solutions to ensure adoption and achievement of desired outcomes
Advises business groups by providing strategic direction to initiative prioritization, integration and resource application.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners and internal clients
Strong knowledge of or experience in Supply Chain or Distribution
Financial acumen and ability to calculate cost benefit analysis and ROI, and help identify financial savings
Demonstrated ability to motivate, influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experiencing managing teams
Strong working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, and Workout tools, problem solving / root cause analysis and process management
Proficient in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio)
Additional Knowledge & Skills
LEAN or Six Sigma certification desirable
Strong project management skills highly preferred
Preferred experience as a trainer of the process improvement methodologies (DMAIC, Lean, Kaizen,and Workout and DFSS a plus) at the Blackbelt and/or Greenbelt level
PC skills: Proficient in Minitab and Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Visio) highly desireable
Experience in distribution or supply chain preferred
P&L experience highly preferred
4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience. Graduate degree desirable.
