Job Description of Sr. Manager - Loss Forecasting

Major responsibilities:
Direct a team of analysts to develop loss forecasting models, and produce loss forecasts as required by ALLL, business planning and stress testing.
Own all the loss forecasting processes, and maintain an in-depth understanding of all the components and changes.
Responsible for all systems and controls to ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all forecasting and reporting activities.
Work with business partners and stakeholders to get approval/consent on loss forecasting models and forecasts
Responsible for hiring, training, mentoring, and providing directions/guidance on a daily basis to direct reports in producing loss forecasts and developing loss forecasting models.
Perform forecast performance monitoring and implement forecast error tracking
Provide \"thought leadership\" on key topics, and lead special projects.
Direct and leverage the resources in Shanghai
Provide inputs/materials for all risk related external communication to audit committee, credit market risk committee, board of directors etc.
Ensure compliance of various internal and external policies, standards and procedures

To qualify, candidates should have the following:
Masters degree in economics, statistics, engineering or related quantitative field.
5+ years of relevant experience in Loss Forecasting, credit risk management, demonstrated leadership and history of accomplished business results.
Familiarity with loan loss reserves, capital planning/stress testing
High proficiency in SAS, SQL and other languages, also high proficiency MS Excel.
Predictive modeling experience
Demonstrated skills and ability to communicate clearly regarding complex technical materials to general business audience.

Preferred qualifications
Ph.D in a quantitative field, such as but not limited Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering
In-depth knowledge in Time Series and 3+ years practical experience in developing Time Series based predictive models
Publications on reputable academic journals
Experience working with regulators and auditors
