Global Strategic Marketing, Robotics will play a key role in identifying and
prioritizing key customer unmet needs and identifying, evaluating, and
recommending solutions to meet these needs in growth procedures. In
addition, the Sr. Manager, Global Strategic Marketing, Robotics will lead the
execution of one or more funded projects through the front-end and new product
development stage-gates, including market research, building business cases,
managing external relationships, working with R&D to oversee milestones,
and recommending milestone go / no go decisions.
will include, but not be limited to:
a process with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and other customers globally to
uncover and prioritize customer clinical and economic needs in robotics
with Business Development, Medical Science & Technology, and R&D
to evaluate new technologies to meet customer needs
with Business Development and Legal to create CDAs and brainstorm
partnership agreements as well as to set up and lead non-confidential and
confidential meetings with external companies
(with R&D) one or more front-end projects to determine tech
feasibility, ability to meet priority customer unmet needs, and market
potential, ultimately resulting in a business case, based on market
research where necessary, for a go / no go recommendation
(with R&D) one or more new product development projects to execute on
our pipeline strategy
abreast of competitive and market trends and supporting competitive
scenario analysis to help the team with offensive and defensive marketing
as needed with partners across J&J on OneMD projects
with external robotics partner, Verb Surgical, as needed
minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required; A Bachelor’s Degree in an
Engineering discipline is preferred.
MBA is also preferred
minimum of 10 years of Marketing AND/OR Strategy experience in medical
devices, robotics, or other medtech industry is required.
developing and executing both upstream (e.g., front-end, product
development) and downstream (brand, sales, other customer-facing) business
strategies is required.
minimum of 2 years working in R&D or working with R&D in a product
development environment is required.
