Senior Manager Process Management

As Capital One is simplifying and streamlining all processes for the good of its customers, we are looking for leaders to help drive our Lean transformation. The primary responsibility of this role is to work with the operations teams across the organization to help drive adoption and sustainability of Lean principles. We are looking for a forward-thinking knowledge builder who can grow the Lean knowledge base in Capital One. Typically, this individual would be someone who has been successful in client-facing consultant roles and has experience in Lean methodologies. This person will be a part of the Process Excellence team. 


  • Help drive lean transformation and design processes based on customer centric model which meets all regulatory, non-regulatory and business requirements, tracks the appropriate metrics required to measure process health, has adequate controls in place to manage risk
  • Understand customer needs and then identify and implement process improvements aligned with customer outcomes
  • Research best practices for process by understanding how we operate similar processes in other LOBs, how our peers operate as well as learning from other industries
  • Work closely with business partners to identify and maximize opportunities to use information and technology to improve service and/or business processes 
  • Lead / support cross functional team (Command Center) in implementing process changes
  • Be the process excellence evangelist, evolve training and coaching plans for the organization 
  • Oversee tasks and work products of any assigned junior associates 

We are seeking industry-leading process improvement professionals who excel in a team environment and are experts in process improvement. This individual must demonstrate that they have improved company processes in the past. This individual must be able to effectively communicate and influence partners across the company and across multiple levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic, agile environment are essential to succeeding in this role. This individual must display strong leadership skills and be able to drive and motivate a team in delivering flawless execution of process improvement projects. 

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Military experience 
- At least 2 years of process management experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Sigma Lean Quality Certification, Business Process Management Certification, Lean Certification, or Six Sigma Certification
