The Lynn Assembly and Test site Quality Leader will be responsible for the product quality review associated with the manufacturing process. This role requires seasoned and deep understanding of quality and manufacturing concepts, Quality management systems and associated tools, approaches and methodologies. The successful candidate will lead a team to deliver on the business priorities.
In addition you will :
+ Engage key suppliers in support of various aerospace and defense related programs.
+ Serve as the site's focal point for Quality with customers, headquarters, and auditors
+ Conduct recruitment, selection, development, and promotion of the Quality team
+ focus on delivery, productivity, customer satisfaction, quality and safety
+ Manage all operational aspects related to production ramp Suppliers' performance, quality and delivery
+ Responsible for Quality organization of supplier
+ Supplier Quality Management, Process Control, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Implementation.
+ Lead Productivity Improvement initiatives
+ Develope Production Part Approval Process to ensure suppliers' compliance to design
+ Investigate any non-conformities & implement root cause corrective action
+ Maintain and develope quality systems for new & existing aviation programs
+ Design and implement cost-effective business and quality systems
+ Manage and maintaine Supplier Corrective Action Requests
+ Execute strategies related to quality assurance and quality control of products, services, and manufacturing processes
+ develope performance targets along with maintaining program metrics
+ Utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to monitor and drive all process improvement activities
+ Drive preventive and corrective actions to assure product compliance to specifications
+ Ensure that products and services perform according to quality standards and that manufacturing processes are capable and qualified
+ Work on complex technological solutions
+ Solve issues and develop new solutions through usage of methods and approaches with some precedence
+ Have authority in the network of experts and in project teams
+ Present product / program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders (EB and SEB) across GE
+ Input and influence decisions within own discipline and area
+ Communicate recommendations and solutions across direct organization and with cross-functional partner organizations
+ Be involved in complex decision making sometimes with external parties
+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in Manufacturing and / or Shop Operations
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
+ Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
+ This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
+ Working understanding of Lean / Six Sigma tools
+ Six Sigma Black Belt certification
+ GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
+ Quality Assurance/Continuous Improvement
+ Understanding of FAA Commercial and DCMA Military regulations
+ Strong oral and written communication skills

+ Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
