JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing direction and leadership to the Network Security Operations team while understanding and interpreting the law and regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.
Understands and has the ability to identify and respond to network security events, interpret law, authorized use guidelines, regulatory requirements, policies and procedures. Leads the development, implementation and enforcement of security department policies and procedures. Exhibits a broad understanding and expertise in multiple network security subjects.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience

Manages and leads a team of direct reports responsible for supervising customer and network security related incidents.

Manages law enforcement agency and subpoena operations and response.

Manages Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) operational activities.

Manages the implementation of subscriber security initiatives according to corporate strategy.

Manage and ensures customers ‘needs are met within the established scope of support.

Responsible to monitor and maintain the established departmental SLA’s.

Establishes reporting metrics and methods to pull ad-hoc data, as needed.

Works with operational areas within Network Engineering, Network and Service Delivery Operations, Customer Care, Legal, and IT to establish and improve processes.

Manages staffing needs for the business unit.

Oversees department schedule, ensuring that all days and hours of operation are adequately staffed.

Monitors live calls, call stats and ticketing system stats to ensure workload is being maintained.

Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner
Ability to manage individuals and teams while managing the daily operations of the department Maintains knowledge to ensure compliance with Network Operations standards, policies and procedures.
Accountable for the functions budgets and managing vendor relations
Possesses a good working knowledge of Copyright laws and operational activities and Law Enforcement Response requirements and request fulfillment.
Knowledge of a security call center environment, with an emphasis on handling private and confidential information
Ability to work in a team environment as well as in cross functional team situations
Working knowledge of database design, development and applications.
Ability to perform duties in a very fast pace environment and ability to learn new technology quickly

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems Security, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Experience leading or providing daily management and operational support for a team of security engineers, administrators, or specialists.
Industry and vendor specific security certifications and training (CISSP, CCNA, etc…)
Understanding of security related software applications and programming
Understanding of project management

Education
CISSP or GIAC security Certification Preferred

Office Environment
Occasional travel as required
Able to be available on call
