Sr. Mgr. Pricing Analytics

The Sr. Manager Pricing Analytics will leverage statistical and data analytics to identify, develop and evaluate strategies for pricing and promotional offers. These offers are designed to maximize revenue and achieve business goals and market share.

In this role you will perform data-driven analyses, based on customer behavior segmentation, demographics, offer performance reviews, market competitive landscape characteristics and pricing and cost sensitivity. You should have a passion for working with data to deliver actionable guidance and to drive business performance.

Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain standard price lists and promotional pricing by product, market and customer segment.
  • Prepare reports and gather extensive competitive data to translate to business action plans.
  • Develop and manage competitive intelligence tool.
    • Collect, manage, analyze and communicate competitive intelligence and market data.
    • Own the relationship with competitive intelligence partners.
  • Work closely with leadership to assess market performance and opportunities across services and segments; develop implement recommendations to further drive market, product and segment performance.
  • Develop pricing policies, including approval policies and, potentially, differentiated pricing approaches by sales channel.
  • Develop and maintain the market playbook of offers and promotions for use in the various sales channels and customer segments.
  • Measure results and collaborate to develop projections based on market analytics. Support the evaluation of pricing and offer approaches and elasticity models.
  • Develop financial models to analyze and assist in the recommendation of pricing and offer changes. Track results and report on key financial metrics related to market pricing and offer strategies.
  • Evaluate impact and develop requirements for changes to processes and systems in quoting, billing and operational areas that result from pricing and offer approaches.
  • Responsible for ad hoc information and reporting requests from the business unit leaders.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
  • Strong analytical ability with relentless attention to detail.
  • Ability to take large volumes of data and formulate pricing decisions/recommendations
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and affinity for numbers.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical methods and concepts used in pricing modeling and forecasting.
  • Ability to use personal computer and software applications such as advanced Excel, including complex formulas, VLOOKUP tables, and pivot tables.
  • Ability to perform Microsoft SQL queries, to use SQLServer and MS Access database, and
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and as a part of a team with individuals and groups at all organization levels.

  • BS/BA in Finance or Economics with strong academic record; or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Graduate degree a plus.
Related Work Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a highly analytical business role; 2 years experience with data analytics including data modeling; Advanced Microsoft Excel experience and SQL experience (not required, but a bonus.)
  • CATV or related work experience a plus
