Current Need

 We are hiring a Network Security Engineer well versed in security related technologies such as firewall, Internet proxy, intrusion detection, IPSEC VPN, remote access VPN, etc.

 

This position can be located in our Rancho Cordova, CA;  Alpharetta, GA; Irving, TX; Scottsdale, AZ or possibly at a remote McKesson site.

 

Position Description

Responsibilities:
  • Administer security controls to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-Commerce programs. 
  • Maintain network security systems including firewalls, Internet proxy, intrusion detection, IPSEC VPN, remote access VPN, ect. 
  • Administer security policies to control access to systems. 
  • Use applicable encryption methods. 
  • Provide information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration, or denial of access to information.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
6+ years experience in the operations of a company's internal data communications systems, including LANs and/or WANs

Critical Skills

  • Strong understanding of enterprise level network operations including but not limited to route, switch, segmentation and filtering technologies in traditional and virtualized environments
  • Proven track record of successful IT project contribution from concept to completion
  • Proven track record of specialization in Network Security technologies including firewall, proxy server, remote access and IPSEC VPN
  • Proven track record of successful network-level troubleshooting and break-fix implementations
  • Experience with day to day network support, ticketing and change management

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience with Cloud infrastructure security in a hybrid environment
  • Expert level knowledge of Cisco and Palo Alto Networks firewalls
  • Expert level knowledge of BlueCoat Proxy SG servers

Education
4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
