Perform a series of repetitive operations requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity. Must have ability to do machine set-ups and adjustments and solve routine operating problems. Requires ability to understand and verify specifications and evaluate product quality. Demonstrate hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to understand and communicate (speak, read & write) in English.
Job Function:With little or no direction set-up, adjust, changeover and operate automated Hot Runner, Sumotomo, and Cincinnati molding machines. Understand and verify product specifications and process documentation. Identify basic machine related and quality problems. Monitor and maintain machine uptime. Perform a series of skilled repetitve operations requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity. Cross train in molding, degating, and wash/scan operations. Preferred:Four (4) years external experience in machine operation, set-up and/or troubleshooting working with similar equipment and/or processes OR 4 years of Alcon experience in a manufacturing position working with the same processes/products as the Sr. Op. II position requires. Alcon experience preferred.
