LinkedIn is looking for an experienced operations and infrastructure security engineer to define, implement, and support vendor framework for engineering development, and keeping them in compliance with LinkedIn's security policy. The individual will work under general direction of the Security Manager as a member of the LinkedIn House Security group. This team is responsible for protecting our infrastructure, applications, and, most importantly, our members. This candidate will be responsible for all aspects of security related to outsourcing of development and operations practices.
Responsibilities: -Perform security assessments on vendors who provide services to LinkedIn, and document the risks and requirements -Set security requirements, oversee compliance to standards and operational practices -Define data access for vendors working on LinkedIn infrastructure -Review data requests to properly apply data handling procedures -Work with cross functional teams to ensure that appropriate vendor provisioning is in place -Create and maintain a dashboard assessing vendor risk -Respond to alerts related to vendor access from monitoring systems -Apply a rigorous and determined process to identify and reduce the impact of enterprise and product security incidents
Basic Qualifications: -BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience required -5+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, or security management -Experience in auditing, review of logs, troubleshooting and working with vendors -Experience with Linux command line tools, web applications -Experience in programming languages like Python, Perl, Ruby
Preferred Qualifications: -Passion for creating tools and automating processes -Ability to document and explain risks, recommendations, and incident data to technical stakeholders -High level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
