Current Need

McKesson's Pharmacy Technology & Services division has an opening for a Senior Portfolio Marketing Manager that may be based in our Atlanta, GA office.  This position may require up to 25% travel.


Position Description

The Sr. Portfolio Marketing Manager is responsible for outbound marketing strategy for assigned businesses and products within McKesson Pharmacy Technology and Services. He/she will be the primary marketing point person for the assigned businesses and serve as a member of the business’ leadership team. The candidate will develop the product marketing strategy to support the overall strategy of the assigned business, MPTS, and McKesson. He/she will coordinate with the product management and market communications teams on development and execution of marketing plans in the independent pharmacy, chain pharmacy, health system outpatient pharmacy, and hospital market segments.

 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leadership team of assigned businesses and represent the MPTS marketing team within the business.
  • Develop product marketing strategies and performance metrics for assigned business unit(s) and ensures alignment with overall MPTS and McKesson business goals.
  • Collaborate with product management of assigned business unit(s) to help define product strategy and business case development, market insight, providing market-driven feedback to help prioritize feature and functionality.
  • Be an expert in buyers, how they buy, and their buying criteria.
  • Create product positioning and messaging that differentiates the product offerings in the market
  • Work with MPTS market communications ream to develop integrated marketing strategy for assigned business and products
  • Be the expert on competition and how to sell against them

 

 


 

 

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements
8+ years of experience in product marketing

Critical Skills

• 8+ years of product marketing experience including new product launches

• Proficient in MS Office PowerPoint & Excel

Additional Knowledge & Skills
• Healthcare or pharmacy marketing experience is preferred
• Software and services marketing experience is preferred
• Pragmatic Marketing training and/or experience

• Strategic thinker with business savvy to drive marketing initiatives

• Excellent people and management skills to interact with colleagues, executives, cross-functional teams clients, prospects, and third parties.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills is essential.


Education
MBA preferred in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience

Physical Requirements
General Office Demands

Ability to travel up to 25%
