This position will research, influence, and implement business decisions that impact product growth and profitability for four mid-western states.   The Sr. Product Consultant is responsible for evaluating market opportunities and implementing business solutions in product, pricing, and risk management.  A successful Sr. Product Consultant will work collaboratively with an extended business partner team including members of countrywide pricing, product development, field and countrywide underwriting, claims, research, and product distribution.

 

    

 

  • Assesses, evaluates, and influences property and casualty insurance product information, competitive environment, and financial and pricing elements to lead local management in a given state to profitability goals.
  • Employs advanced research and data analytics methods to assess product performance and trends both internally and externally within the market.
  • Implements rate filings in a timely and accurate manner to achieve desired geographic and market segmentation, and profitability goals.
  • Responsible for communicating to stakeholders the outcomes of deployed product, price, and risk management actions.
  • Creates innovative solutions to business challenges and opportunities through the employment of proven, repeatable problem solving methods.

 


 

  • Assesses, evaluates, and influences property and casualty insurance product information, competitive environment, and financial and pricing elements to lead local management in a given state to profitability goals.
  • May provide advice to internal partners on conducting effective market intelligence and environmental scanning activities.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
  • Thorough knowledge of P&C product Pricing and Underwriting.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities
  • Sound business judgment and strong problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Experienced using Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
