The Woodland Hills, CA office of Farmers Group, Inc. seeks a Sr. Product Manager (multiple positions) to plan, initiate, and manage projects for Farmers' various product lines. Specific duties include: lead and guide the work of technical staff; serve as liaison between business and technical aspects of projects; plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage; monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met; manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope; develop or update project plans for information technology projects including information such as project objectives, technologies, systems, information specifications, schedules, and funding; monitor or track project milestones and deliverables; confer with project personnel to identify and resolve problems; submit project deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards; prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; establish and execute a product communication plan; assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel; schedule and facilitate meetings related to information technology projects; negotiate with project stakeholders or suppliers to obtain resources or materials; and develop implementation plans that include analyses such as cost-benefit and return on investment.

Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Applied Bioinformatics, Bioinformatics, Computer Science and Engineering, or a closely related field, plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Management Analyst, Software Engineer, Solution Architect, Application Business Analyst, or similar IT role.

Must have at least 2 years of experience with each of the following: consumer applications including online quoting, online self-service for web and mobile platforms; developing user stories and market requirement documents; leading the execution of digital products from conception to launch, including innovation and managing projects across the organization; working with agile development of consumer and distribution facing web portals; working with tools including, MS Visio, Microsoft SharePoint 2013, HP Quality Center & Rally; managing a team, project planning and monitoring the schedule, cost and quality of deliverables; coordinating the flow of development initiatives including requirement analysis, design, development, all phases of testing such as unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, and performance acceptance testing; and technological functional design documentation.
