You will be joining the Merchant Integration Platform (MIP) team as Senior Product Manager. The MIP focuses on providing our customers with the best possible integration experience, bar none and this includes all aspects of the integration life-cycle, starting from helping them choose the right product, providing all the relevant documentation and resources, maintaining a stable test environment, all the way to successfully moving to production and managing API/transactional events.

Merchant Integration Platform : Senior Product Manager

As a global leader in electronic payments, PayPal offers a multitude of products for merchants of all sizes. With thousands of new integrations happening on a daily basis, it's crucial to make these integrations smoother, faster and self-serve for all our users . This means having a strong understanding of the various segments, personas of users who integrate with PayPal and their integration life cycle.

You will be joining the Merchant Integration Platform (MIP) team as Senior Product Manager. The MIP focuses on providing our customers with the best possible integration experience, bar none and this includes all aspects of the integration life-cycle, starting from helping them choose the right product, providing all the relevant documentation and resources, maintaining a stable test environment, all the way to successfully moving to production and managing API/transactional events.

You will Initially focus on making the Sandbox and Webhooks platforms under MIP the best in the industry. These platforms are used by several merchants and are critical to their integration life cycle.

To be successful in this semi technical track, you must be a tinkerer by nature, be very passionate about solving user problems, must be the voice of the customer with the stakeholders and have at least a high level understanding of how to design, test and publish great APIs.

Responsibilities
  • Solve integration challenges for all PayPal users
  • Create a best in class Webhooks platform for PayPal
  • Be a champion for PayPal Sandbox quality
  • Equip Sandbox with the tools that will make integration testing easier for users
  • Be a champion for PayPal's developer and merchant community.
  • Engage with end-users of our products across all segments (Developers, SMBs, Large Enterprise, etc).
  • Interact constantly with internal customer-facing teams (Support, Professional Services, Marketing, etc) to determine pain points, and influence solutions for our customers.
  • Understand customer needs and gather product requirements
  • Launch products/features/tools on a regular basis
  • Identify market opportunities and define product vision and strategy
  • Develop new products and enhance existing products
  • Engage closely with the engineering team to help determine the best technical implementation methods as well as a reasonable implementation schedule.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:
  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with product management or product design with a focus on software products and technologies.
  • Experience developing API based products and technologies.
  • Experience in designing, implementing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:
  • MS or MBA .
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, UI and customer support
  • Ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills.
