We are seeking passionate product manager to define, prioritize and deliver our payment capabilities to satisfy current and future needs.  As a product manager, you will work closely with key internal stakeholders, the payments leader and the payments delivery and operations teams to enhance the platform. You will represent the customer and be responsible for making sure that corporate, regional and business unit priorities are adhered to while delivering an outstanding user experience. The scope of your work will be global in nature and will include the opportunity to shape next generation platform serving a global customer base.

The ideal candidate shall have a strong background in e-commerce or payments and be willing to jump into both technical areas as well as user experience. You should be execution focused, excited to define, build and maintain a world-class e-commerce payments platform on the biggest stage in global online commerce.

You will be responsible for defining product and platform strategy, planning, design, development, launch and measurement. You will be part of exploring key opportunities for growth, create a stellar customer experience and support all aspects of the business.


  • Understand and synthesize customer and business needs from market research, customer visits, and business data
  • Help formulate product/platform strategy for the product line and deliver to a prioritized road map that addresses customer needs
  • Define product requirements and manage the overall schedule of a project to deliver features on time with high quality
  • Work with partners in business, engineering and analytic to define, build and launch products/platform features
  • Manage communications and expectations with internal stakeholders and eBay community of buyers and sellers
  • Define and formulate ramp and measurement criterion
  • Recommend the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • 6 to 10 years of work experience in product management and/or product/services strategy with a proven record of successfully launching products/platforms
  • Experience working on a release of a large-scale web site or commerce related platform
  • Strategic yet action-oriented. High integrity and diligent
  • Strong interest and understanding of internet and e-commerce business
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills and independent motivation
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to drive and implement ideas in a changing environment
  • Individual who can prioritize well, communicate effectively, enjoys working in a group of talented, opinionated, highly focused individuals
  • Education in technology and business domains – BS in CS/EE or related disciplines is a clear plus, background in payments is strong plus, MBA preferred
