Microsoft’s Global Demand Center (GDC) Marketing team is leading the transformation of marketing at Microsoft with campaigns and engines that allow us to engage in a more personal way with our customers. We’re looking for a driven business leader to lead the marketing and sales connection for Windows and Devices demand response, focused on Windows and Surface, as well as lead demand response incubation efforts for new GDC Global Engagement Programs as they are developed. In this role you will report to the Director Connected Marketing & Sales and work closely with Inside Sales to connect our marketing activities to revenue generation.

This is an impactful role for a dedicated individual who is passionate about innovating Microsoft’s go-to-market approach and wants the opportunity to contribute in this new go to market model during a time of transformation and growth. To be successful in this role, you will bring strong program management and communication skills, an interest in direct marketing and sales, experience in go-to- market process definition, a can-do attitude and the ability to partner with a broad set of partners, influencing for impact. This role requires a critical eye and strong program management and strategic thinking capabilities as you design and assess the right demand response sales motion for new business efforts in the GDC.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop business approach for direct sales process and/or demand response selling in line with GDC objectives

- Develop selling model incubation approach for new engagement programs and evaluate their success to evolve into fully realized, standardize models. Partner with GDC Marketing peers in the “onboarding” of new GEPs.

- Own and drive successful execution of inside sales objectives and goals for each engagement program and product.
- Work closely with integrated marketing, product marketing and engineering teams to optimize execution between marketing and sales

- Partner with sales teams on consistent sales process design and implementation

- Champion customer and sales insight and feedback back to marketing program leads

- Co-lead the build out of a demand response Inside Sales team, transitioning from a vendor based to an FTE model.

- Help identify and remove barriers to execution. Seek solutions and opportunities to experiment.

- Own representation of monthly results against objectives in executive forums, with partner teams, and GDC leadership. Analyze trends and performance, providing insights and influencing optimization plans. Participate in annual planning process aligning inside sales demand response goals with corporate, facilitating forecasting and budget objectives, and representing the GDC team in the service level agreement discussions between Marketing and Sales

- Lead interactions from Corp with Area teams in all priority geographies for inside sales components of marketing engagement programs

YOU SHOULD ALSO HAVE:
- A passion for learning

- Knowledge of and experience within the tech industry

- 5+ years’ experience, with experience in inside sales, sales operations, or B2B marketing with proven track record of success in high-volume, high growth environments. Demand Center experience a plus.

- BA/BS or equivalent. MBA preferred.
