The Sr. Program Relation Consultant (PRC) is responsible for partnering with the Marketing and Enrollment Director (MED) and the assigned sales and service teams to drive growth of MetLife’s Affinity & Member Benefits portfolio. The PRC will serve as a marketing and enrollment expert, measuring campaign results to manage/modify marketing enrollment plans, while providing dedicated customer facing strategic guidance during the acquisition and implementation of new business and in maintaining existing client relationships. This includes member and TPA marketing communication support, as well as RFP and reporting efforts.  In addition, the PRC will have in-depth product knowledge across all Core and Voluntary products (i.e., Life, Disability, Dental, Property & Casualty, Take Along Dental) to facilitate a “single face to the customer approach” and provide marketing strategic input and guidance.


The PRC must be able to lead and work independently when identifying and responding to problems and/or challenges.  Day-to-day contact and discussions with MetLife’s Affinity & Member Benefits sales and service partners is expected. In addition, the candidate must possess the ability to partner across the organization with; Senior Management, Sales, Service teams (Affinity Consultants),  Marketing, Marketing Operations, Underwriting, Distribution & Development, Legal, Implementation, Product, and outside vendors/agencies. 


The PRC will: lead account planning efforts, oversee tactical execution, maintain business metrics and reporting, and manage the A&MB marketing budget.  In addition, the candidate will identify additional SMEs for RFP opportunities, participate in finalist planning discussions, pre and post implementation meetings and lead strategic and tactical marketing discussions with TPAs, associations and other partners. The PRC will also serve as support for strategic TPA, broker, prospect, and association meetings to drive sales results, while building and maintaining strong relationships.



  • Build new, and maintain existing, relationships with sales partners to increase revenue.
  • Partner with (MED) to consult and advise A&MB account partners on value-added strategies to optimize business with members.
  • Further A&MB engagement and quality of member activity through strategic and timely account planning discussions and execution.
  • Support strategic pre and post implementation needs, including coordination of key partners.
  • Participate on strategic marketing and enrollment calls to ensure deliverables are on track and strategies are agreed to and executed upon.
  • Provide marketing and enrollment strategy direction through the RFP/Proposal generation process; including developing initial proposal for marketing education and enrollment strategy through partnership with customer, TPA, broker, sales and/or third party.
  • Ensure resources supporting A&MB meetings are trained and prepared; Identify appropriate marketing offline and digital materials and coordinate.
  • Measure participation and monitor case activity to ensure consistent, quality results.
  • Work in conjunction with MED to identify and execute on A&MB member opportunities and deliver expertise to service and sales team.
  • Serve as the expert to identify and broker the right platforms to meet unique customer needs; be able to compare and contrast MetLife’s proprietary systems to external options to ensure credible recommendations are made.
  • Identify, execute and measure marketing and enrollment campaigns that promote MetLife’s Core and Voluntary products.
  • Advise sales team on the strategic marketplace positioning of our product capabilities, solutions, and enrollment strategies.
  • Deliver on strategic initiatives as directed by management
  • Help sales teams build expertise and prioritize key growth opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or required



  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, sales, product, or wholesaling in insurance industry (internal, external or combination)
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent of experience and education
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Thorough knowledge of and proven ability to demonstrate sales and marketing principles and practices
  • Expected to maintain a thorough knowledge of existing, new and enhanced products.
  • Travel up to 10% required
