Current Need

Position Description
The Sr. Project Manager, Business Initiatives provides project management for a variety of initiatives across both Customer Care and Sales Effectiveness.  These projects will focus on strategic business process and program initiatives as well as various technology implementations. 
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Translate business unit needs into a comprehensive project plans to ensure project success. Possible components could include technology, training, communication, compensation, resource management, change management and operational integration.
  • Must understand business objectives as they relate to project goals.
  • Assist in implementing short and long-range departmental/BU goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures.
  • Track and develop reporting on the status of all initiatives and projects.
  • Develop and deliver presentations providing project goals and status to Customer Care and Sales Effectiveness leadership team.
  • Create appropriate metrics to track the activity and effectiveness of the project portfolio managed by this role.
  • Partner with dedicated resources supporting the organization including the Service Continuity Office, Six Sigma and McKesson IT.
  • Develop strong relationships across the organization to assist in successful project implementations.
 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements
  • 5+ years experience in project management
 
 
Critical Skills
  • 3+ years experience managing projects ranging in size, complexity and impact; experience in all aspects of project management to ensure proper resource management/utilization, delivery against scheduled commitments, risk mitigation, issue management, and effective management of client expectations.
  • Experience using various project management tools
    • Projects, Smart Sheets, experience building a business case, problem statement, CNE matrix, force field analysis
  • Strong analytical background to understand how to leverage data to influence business decisions.
  • 3+ years experience facilitating meetings and delivering presentations to all levels of audiences from peers to CEOs and CFOs.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with a high attention to detail.

Education
4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience
