Current Need

 

The EIS Enterprise Workflow Solutions (EWS) organization has a need for a Senior Project Manager, with responsibility for all aspects of managing the deployment of the McKesson Strategic Supply Sourcing (MSSS) solution, from initial customer contract to project completion. The Sr. Project Manager interfaces with the customer on all project-related matters, keeping the project schedule on track and in scope, anticipating and assessing project issues, and developing resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals.

 

 

 

The Sr. Project Manager role requires strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills, as well as a great deal of flexibility and devotion to maintaining customer satisfaction

Position Description

 

The Senior Project Manager, Enterprise Workflow Solutions will perform the following:

  • Manage all aspects of customer deployment activities for the McKesson Strategic Supply Sourcing solution, including production and beta releases.
  • Define project scope and objectives, taking projects from original concept through final implementation.
  • Develop detailed work plans, schedules, and status reports.
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of projects, working with multiple departments and stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed timely and accurately.
  • Act as a single point of contact for projects, interfacing with all areas affected by the project including end users, management, IT, and cross-functional departments, both customer and internal resources.
  • Conduct project meetings and take responsibility for project deliverables, tracking, and reviewing all deliverables.
  • Create and maintain regular project status reporting for internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Foster a trusted advisor relationship with key customer stakeholders.
  • Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Recommend and take action to direct the analysis and solution to problems.
  • Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect the project, department, or business unit.
  • Maintain an attitude of flexibility and an ability to apply project management expertise and discipline to other key initiatives within EWS as required, including special projects, strategic efforts, etc.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned or apparent.

Qualifications



Minimum Requirements
8+ years experience in designing, building, and implementing business solutions. Significant experience in project management.

Critical Skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and comfortable interacting with top hospital leadership.

  • Strong planning and project management abilities, ability to execute within established timelines.

  • Effective communicator, collaborative, customer-focused.  Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.


Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Must be able to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment.   Highly self-motivated and directed with the ability to juggle different tasks, effectively balance priorities, and be accepting of ambiguity.  Ability to work independently and decisive.

  • Detail-oriented and thorough
  • Willingness to travel


Education
4-year degree in related field or equivalent experience

Certifications/Licensure
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification desired.
