This particular position is within the Throughput Networking group mainly focusing on Virtual Networking Services for public cloud and virtual data center. The ultimate solution provides extremely robust and reliable IAAS for the virtual data center. This includes support for network overlays, VXLAN and EVPN support for multi-tenancy. This unique combination offers the opportunity to significantly improve the functionality and evolution of the next generation data centers.
Requires in-depth understanding and extensive working experience with networking stack, Ethernet products and protocols, network switches - development/operations/load-balancing/configuration/administration, device driver development, and embedded firmware in networking products.
Specifically, we need experience in:
o Strong C or C programming and system software skills
o Debugging tools Unix/Solaris or Linux OS and kernel experience (preferred)
o Exposure to various I/O devices like Ethernet controllers, PCI devices, etc.
o Development with networking protocol stack/kernel (TCP/IP etc.), and APIs (preferred)
o Embedded systems experience, especially with RTOS, bootloaders, bios is a plus
o Familiarity with network security protocols and cryptographic algorithms is a plus
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
