Lead technical design and development of applications for existing and emerging technology platforms in direct support of MetLIfe’s Global Treasury strategy and operations, including the enterprise goal to improve MetLife’s liquidity risk stress testing capabilities through IT automation and well as other strategic Global Banking and Cash Management initiatives.


  • Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems
  • Partner with architecture and other teams to develop technical solution and ensure compliance with enterprise level guidelines for application architecture
  • Perform fit gap analysis of functional requirements to platform capabilities
  • Conduct module level work effort estimation and integration into the overall system/platform
  • Ensure adherence to technical best design and coding standards
  • Conduct project risk identification and mitigation action planning


  • Consistently demonstrated ability in leading technical design and solutions for large scale projects delivered in a matrixed environment
  • Broad knowledge of technology solutions and tools with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • 5+ years relevant industry experience as a technical lead; 2+ years with Big Data experience with one or more of the followings stacks (Microsoft BI, Apache, Oracle BI, IBM BI, Qlikview,  or equivalent); 2+  experience with one or more of the following suites:  SSAS/SSRS/SSIS, HBase/Hive/PIG/Spark,  Server/Answers/Interactive Dashboards/Delivers/Publisher,  DB2/Cloudant/Cognos 
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related  field
  • Prefer: Familiarity with Treasury and banking related process and supporting systems, including  background in Liquidity Risk Management – Stress testing and/or AvantGard Treasury WorkStation (Integrity)
