Provide technical leadership within a team responsible for planning and designing software that collects, stores, processes, and analyzes large data sets used for internal analytics, network capacity investigations, and billing, finance, and legal responses; support and configure vendor software Transaction Business Management System (TBMS), including overseeing the documentation of all development activity and assisting with tracking performance metrics; select optimal solutions for the maintenance, implementation, and monitoring/support of software within the Digital Voice line of business, including analyzing, testing, and assisting with integrating new applications across the enterprise; select and integrate Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested capabilities; develop Big Data solutions using HDFS, Cassandra, and Mongo DB; implement ETL process; perform Unix shell scripting for file transfer processes and ETL reports; perform data extraction and reporting using Oracle; support TCP packet capture analysis for identifying any transmission data loss or data routing issues; monitor performance and advise of necessary infrastructure changes;; maintain and support the IP Multimedia System; provide operational support for Comcast Usage mediation and management organization; and mentor, train, and provide guidance to junior-level engineers.
Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and five (5) years of experience supporting Transaction Business Management Systems; of which two (2) years must include performing Big Data solution development using HDFS, Cassandra, and Mongo DB; utilizing Oracle, SQL, and Unix to perform ETL processes; and conducting TCP packet capture analysis.
