This role will lead the architecture and Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) solution design for GE Aviation Manufacturing Cost business processes as part of a mission-based cross-functional team. Using deep Oracle EBS Costing knowledge and hands-on experience, this role will partner with functional subject-matter experts to maximize the fit of EBS out of the box features to Aviation Engines modernized and re-engineered business processes.
+ Contributes to overall Oracle EBS business solutions working across teams, benchmarking with other GE businesses and external organizations, to deliver impactful business outcomes
+ Leads and coordinates the costing domain technical and business discussions relative to business priorities, resulting in a robust solution design that enables successful user adoption and desired business outcomes
+ Analyzes, designs and develops a roadmap and implementation plan based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint
+ Reviews and/or analyzes and develops architectural requirements at domain level within product portfolio or team
+ Assures all solutions integrate across functions, are architected for long-term sustainability, and are well documented for testing, training, and on-going support
+ Leads the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in future costing product direction and/or operational support activities
Qualifications/Requirements: Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
+ A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a technical area (Architecture, Software, or Information Technology) or (a high school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of experience in Information Technology or Software)
+ A minimum of 5 years hands-on Oracle eBusiness Suite functional experience with at least 2 years in the Costing domainEligibility Requirements
+ Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
+ A broad understanding of Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) discrete manufacturing and a deep understanding of costing modules in R12
+ Fit-gap experience with Oracle EBS and demonstrated success architecting out-of-the-box solutions to achieve desired business outcomes
+ Hands-on configuration experience and a thorough understanding of the costing setups for various costing methods, and of the relationships and required setups between routings, resources, and departments
+ Deep understanding of, and ability to explain/influence structure for the item cost components including the variances; demonstrated experience with either/both Oracle EBS standard costing and periodic average costing (PAC)
+ Experience modifying sub-ledger accounting (SLA) rules to derive accounts based on business requirements, and can explain the purpose and use of a custom source in SLA and potential inputs
+ Has experience in reconciling/auditing inventory to General Ledger (GL) accounts and physical counts
+ Understands project manufacturing links to inventory, WIP, Purchase Order receipt and Sales Order shipment transactions
+ Proficiency with SQL, Agile (Rally), Oracle EBS tools and support processes\#DTR
