Corporate Technology (CT) provides development and support for the many internal systems used across the enterprise. The CT Architecture & Strategy Group provides architecture services to the breadth of CT. We work to influence the technology direction and standards of Wells Fargo technology and ensure CT solutions are in alignment the overall goals and objectives of EIT and our partners.

The Sr. Architect for Enterprise information Risk Identity and Access Management is a key position within the Corporate Technology Architecture (CTA) Group reporting into the Lead Architect for Enterprise information Risk Identity and Access Management. This position is responsible for setting key strategic architecture direction for Wells Fargo Identity and Access Management Technologies. This position will be responsible for creating solution architecture for programs across Enterprise Information Risk working closely with the LOB partners, CTO and Application managers.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the LOB business leader, application managers, and Enterprise Data Analytics, Information Security, Infrastructure Architects, and project teams to create and manage end to end Solutions architecture.
  • Engage in cross CT Architecture alignment activities and on the need basis assist in enterprise initiatives.
  • Responsible for designing, solutions for both internal as well as external facing applications. The Architect would work closely with the Infrastructure Security and Risk Management teams to ensure all design and development activities across platforms adhere to industry best practices and regulations related to data security, Access Control or Security initiative.
  • Ensure Corporate technology solutions are complying EIS established identity access management standards and policies.
  • Design and implement architecture standards processes for access enforcements (authentication and authorization protocols) and access governance (role management, certification, logging monitoring etc.)
  • Establish standards for application security and integration for on premise /hosted custom application as well as integration with SAAS applications
  • Responsible for working on projects, recommending exceptions to the Enterprise Architecture for high level projects, reviewing and approving designs, communicating the Enterprise Architecture strategy and direction to both management and systems related teams within their line of business or infrastructure subdomain (organizational unit) and directing implementation of the architecture for their organizational unit.
  • Serves as the highest-level technical consultant to internal clients and technical management to ensure conformity with Enterprise Architecture, having expertise across a broad portion of the organizational unit's architecture, or in-depth expertise within a more specific portion of the architecture.

The preferred work location is Charlotte, NC, but other locations such as Chandler, AZ and Minneapolis, MN will also be considered. Preference will be given to those candidates that either currently live in or are willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC with limited to no relocation assistance.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of information technology systems design and planning experience; in systems, applications, or architecture
  • 1+ year of systems vulnerability management experience
  • 8 + years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles

  • Experience influencing management on technical or business solutions
  • Experience with a wide application of technical principles, practices, and procedures to multiple applications or a component family
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in information technology
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, technology CIO leadership, external service providers, and architecture teams
  • Knowledge and understanding of LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol)
  • Knowledge and understanding of MS Active Directory
  • Knowledge and understanding of SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language)
  • Knowledge and understanding of technology governance
  • Knowledge and understanding of virtual directory services
  • Knowledge and understanding of XML (Extensible Markup Language)
  • 2+ years of IAM (Identity and Access Management) experience

Other Desired Qualifications
  • 8+ years combined technical and business experience
  • 6+ years of experience in leading medium & large scale program solution architecture.
  • 2+ years of solution design, integration architecture experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) products and tools such as Oracle IAM, IBM Tivoli, Courion, CA Siteminder, Sailpoint etc.
  • Knowledge of additional protocol standards such as: Kerberos, WS-Trust, WS-Federation
  • Working knowledge of securing resources in third party hosted cloud environment
  • Ability to implement contemporary business solutions leveraging SOA, BPM, Mobile, Social, Integration, and Data technologies.
  • Experience influencing management on technical or business solutions
  • Experience with a wide application of technical principles, practices, and procedures to multiple applications or a component family
