The EMC Global Solutions Marketing team is looking to hire seasoned technical marketing managers to manage the creation and delivery of technical solutions and enablement to our partners and sales force. Reporting to the Director of Technical Marketing for Cloud Solutions, the Technical Marketing vLab & Physical Demo Coordinator will work closely with global presales enablement and operational leads from across the company, Global Solution Sales, Engineering, Education Services and relevant Business Units to define and drive enablement and readiness of Dell EMC Cloud solutions.
The Technical Marketing vLab & Physical Demo Coordinator is both a content creator and program facilitator; supporting scalable and in-person enablement programs directed at a wide range of presales teams across the entire Dell EMC family of companies and our partner community.
The successful candidate will also review current enablement and demo solutions and make ongoing recommendations for improvement and more effective methods of internal training and communication.
Work with subject matter experts and engineering teams to facilitate the building of hands-on virtual labs
Ensure that the demos to be included are aligned with the documented user stories and show the value and differentiation of the solution
Project planning and coordination activities for each new virtual lab release
Interface with the SME and Engineering teams to ensure that the virtual lab is sized and configured appropriately for the demos and use cases to be included
Create easy-to-follow lab guides for our customers and partners to learn how to use our hybrid cloud platforms
Coordinate and track engineering and subject-matter-expert progress building out, updating, and supporting the virtual labs.
Gather feedback from users, solution management, and marketing teams to improve the virtual lab experience
Track, Monitor, and Report on the usage of the virtual lab environments
Develop, Drive, and Support the creation and ongoing support of physical demo environments
Coordinate with engineering and subject matter experts to ensure that the physical demo environments accurately portray the solution user stories, features, and differentiations.
Create easy-to-follow lab and demo guides for our sales and partner teams to deliver high-impact demonstrations
Work with field solution and presales teams to integrate physical demonstrations and use cases into workshops and sales campaigns
Track, monitor, and report on the usage of the physical demo environments
Qualifications and Requirements:
4+ years’ experience in a technical marketing or technical enablement role with Dell EMC solutions and partner applications at an infrastructure software company, server, storage, cloud or SaaS company.
Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated success influencing and leveraging the groups and leaders across the company who contribute to sales enablement such as Presales Specialty Teams, Engineering, Marketing, and Solution Managers.
Strong understanding of delivering solutions to market, offerings, and GTM structures in a global organization
Strategic-thinker that can take broad visions and concepts to develop structured plans, actions and measureable metrics to then execute against.
Excellent communications skills including, presenting, editing, and writing as well as accuracy and attention to detail required.
Self-motivated, self-starter who has the ability to learn and teach new technical concepts quickly
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities and programs
Demonstrable proficiency with the following tools and categories:
PowerPoint, Visio, Camtasia, and other media technologies
Background in datacenter and virtualization ecosystem solutions
Location – Boston Area strongly preferred, but open to remote workers
Experience working with virtual and remote teams
PLUS The ideal candidate will have:
Understanding of Cloud Computing and Virtualization technology
Understanding of Platform 3 / Cloud Native Applications and DevOps models for deploying and managing enterprise applications
Knowledge of Big Data and Analytics solutions, ecosystem, and use cases
