We're hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager for our Site Reliability Engineering team (SRE).
SRE - This team is responsible for scaling LinkedIn's platform to reliably reach every member of the global workforce.
Responsibilities: Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large cross-functional initiatives Create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, mastery, innovation and learning Promote value-driven delivery, innovation, and continuous improvement at multiple levels of the organization Communicate shared understanding of direction and objectives into multiple domains Identify, analyze, and mitigate risk exposure at all levels Interact comfortably in one-to-one meetings with individual technical contributors, senior engineering leaders (technology and business) Build strategic relationships with key technology and business leaders to ensure success Drive quarterly roadmap & resource planning activities and deliverables Manage and maintain team backlogs and ensure forward project momentum Lead efforts to resolve key project conflicts and establish appropriate resolution paths Mentors individuals in best practices for planning and execution Prepare and present program and project status to key stakeholders at regular intervals
Basic Qualifications: 3+ years of full time program management experience within an engineering or technical department 3+ years of experience managing large scale web-based programs B. . /B. . in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Qualifications: Strong practical understanding of managing the full life-cycle of large-scale modern production software programs and projects Excellent balance of people, organizational, technical, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple concurrent major projects High proficiency in planning, collaboration, communication, and reporting tools Fluid ability to traverse both vertically and horizontally in a large organization Excellent trade-off management in achieving tactical and strategic objectives Ability to successfully influence others to best outcomes without having authority Proven leadership skills in highly volatile cross-functional and cross-organizational environments Exposure to Product Management best practices and requirements elicitation is a plus Strong experience and understanding of software engineering practices Adept at proactive change management Familiarity with Agile methods and practices through multiple teams (Scrum and Kanban) Advanced technical or business degree
