Accountemps Boulder is looking for a Staff Accountant for a short term temporary-to-fulltime opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will have responsibility for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in SOX compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the 10Q and 10K reporting processes. This very involved position works to produce Cash Flow projections, Financial Statements, and Budgets. Based in the Boulder, Colorado region, this company offers an engaging and mulit-faceted opportunity where effort is rewarded. Your responsibilities - Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules - Carry out fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation - Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments - Oversee the creation of monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for reporting to management - Offer descriptions of a large number of financial data and communicate insights in a useful and understandable manner - Partake in annual closing processes - Perform month end close, journal entries with minimum supervision - Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as needed - Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP - Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll Please contact Accountemps Boulder if you're interested in hearing more about this position 303.248.2027
