Accountemps is searching for a Staff Accountant for a long term temporary opportunity with a fast-growing company. The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing monthly and year-end closings, journal entries, fixed asset maintenance, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, many aspects of internal reporting will be your responsibility. In addition, you will support the development and implementation of accounting policies. In addition, you will take part in SOX compliance, review schedules for the 10Q and 10K reporting processes, and interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits. This very involved position works to produce Cash Flow projections, Financial Statements, and Budgets. Responsibilities - Take part the in implementation and adherence to internal controls under SOX accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP - Be a part of various department-wide initiatives - Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments - Partake in annual closing processes - Carry out month end close, journal entries, without supervision - Keep up fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation - Ad-hoc tasks and special projects, as needed - Commentate on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner - Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules - Create monthly statement analysis to be used for management reporting Interested Staff Accountants should forward resume to Heather.Dominik@accountemps.com.
