Adecco is looking for a General Staff Accountant who will maintain and control the General Ledger accounts for business transactions of the organization, applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work, review and reconciliation of financial records. Perform general cost accounting activities involving compilation, consolidation, and flux analysis of financial data requiring some insight and depth of understanding.
Applies accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions and trial balance reconciliations. Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledgers; prepare and analyze budgets; and perform general bookkeeping. Prepare documents such as fixed asset reports, inventory cost accounting, monthly consolidated financial statements, and supporting schedules for quarterly SEC reporting, annual audit and income tax returns.
Specifics of job content will vary from preparing journal entries and validation of supporting entries, assignments involving data analysis, to carrying out well-defined steps in cost accounting analysis, drafting segments of statements and reports.
Work is generally viewed at completion for accuracy and soundness.
Tasks will include:
¿ Applying accounting techniques and standard practices (GAAP) to the classification and recording of financial transactions.
¿ Preparing consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system, departments, and subsidiary company.
¿ Maintaining and balancing an automated consolidation system via weekly reconciliations and data verification
¿ Analyzing information by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information.
¿ Preparing general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
¿ Developing and implementing accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
¿ Answering accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
¿ Providing accounting support by reviewing financial information; converting data to general ledger system; obtaining supplementary information for preparing financial statements.
¿ Protecting organization's value by keeping information confidential.
¿ Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
¿ Accomplishing accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Job Requirements:
Strong accounting reconciliation and analysis,financial compilation and knowledge of accounting principles. Excellent verbal and written skills. Must be able to multi-task, establish priorities and organize efficiently. Knowledge of computers and familiarity with accounting software is also essential.
Statutory position for long periods of time, working with a computer screen for 90% of the day.

General Ledger & Inventory Cost accounting. Journal entries, reconciliations, month-end close for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statement reporting including consolidation, data analytics and research of actual and budget flux analysis. Compilation of audit and tax PBCs.
Great Plains, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills. A team player, ability to work independently and high initiative. Strong oral and written communication skills.
Bachelor Degree ¿ Accounting or Finance; CPA is a plus.
