Role Summary:

The Staff Data & Information Architect works on multiple Data & Information projects as a project leader or internal consultant. In this role, you will work on projects for components of the domain.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Staff Data & Information Architect, you will:

+ Participate in the data domain technical and business discussions relative to future architect direction

+ Assist in the analysis, design and development of a road-map, design pattern, and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint

+ Gather and analyze data and develops architectural requirements at project level

+ Participate in the Data Governance Council

+ Support the development data and data delivery platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses

+ Research and evaluate emerging data technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities

+ Coach and mentor team members

+ Effectively monitor and control costs in the organization

Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or in a "STEM" Major (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a mini mum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology or Software)

+ Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a technical area (Architecture, Software, or Information Technology)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

+ Ability and willingness to travel, as required

+ Ability and willingness to work out of an office in Atlanta, GA

Desired Characteristics:

+ Strong hands on experience installing, configuring and maintaining Multi-Terabyte Hadoop Clusters with different Hadoop flavors (CDH, HDP, EMR etc)

+ Strong hands on experience with Big Data Technologies such as Hive, Spark, Spark Streaming, Kafka etc.,

+ Strong hands on experience managing petabyte scale data infrastructure

+ Hands on experience with MPP databases such as Greenplum

+ Familiarity with Data Visualization tools such as Tableau, Cognos, Spotfire

+ Hands on experience delivering Data As A Service (DaaS) using tools such as Talend, Informatica, Boomi, Akana

+ Familiarity with Predix and IoT solutions

+ Data modeling experience

+ Working knowledge of various cloud providers (AWS, Azure etc.)

+ Experience working in a global team environment with members working remotely in various time zones

+ Strong prioritization, quantative and analytical skills

+ Ability to influence and again commitment at all organization levels
