LinkedIn's Analytics Team leverages big data to empower business decisions. Our team is rapidly reinventing the way that proprietary data can be converted to insights to drive consumer marketing efforts and product strategies. We are now looking for a talented and driven individual to accelerate our efforts and be a major part of our data-centric culture. This person will work closely with Consumer Marketing, Marketing Operations, Product, Engineers and Infrastructure Teams to provide deep insights and actionable recommendations for our Consumer Marketing team. A successful candidate will be both technically strong and business savvy, with a passion to make an impact through creative storytelling and timely actions.
Responsibilities: Overall a highly driven, results-oriented, creative and nimble problem solver with a willingness to do "whatever it takes" to deliver business impact quickly. Ability to prioritize and set direction in a semi-chaotic fast moving environment. Work closely with other analytics staff and our business partners in Consumer Marketing, Product and Marketing Operations to support Go-To-Market for new products and features, analyze campaigns across multiple channels (site, email, social media, search etc. ), and analyze member engagement data and user activity or behavior data to drive business impact. Build data-driven descriptive/predictive models for customer segmentation and campaign optimization. Develop and test analytical solutions like A/B testing to be leveraged by internal partners. Able to translate business objectives into actionable analysis and own end-to-end analytics.
Analyze and mine structured and unstructured data to drive user-centric as well as product centric insights. Build visualization dashboards to inform key insights on timely basis Partner with cross-functional teams to lead or contribute to large-scale strategic projects as well as ongoing operational activities. Create insightful automated dashboards and data visualizations to track key business metrics.
Basic Qualifications: BS in quantitative fields - Computer Science, Engineering, Operational Research, Statistics, Economics or related fields. 3+ years' experience in Analytics, ideally within the relevant domain of product or online marketing. Experience with SQL/relational databases (Teradata, Oracle etc). Experience working with statistical analysis software such as R, SAS, SPSS, etc. Experience building visualization dashboards, such as Tableau, etc. Experience communicating finding to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters or PhD degree in quantitative fields - Computer Science, Engineering, Operational Research, Statistics, Economics, Marketing or related fields. 5+ years' experience in Analytics, ideally within the relevant domains of product or online marketing areas such as segmentation, member engagement, customer satisfaction, web analytics, campaign attribution, funnel, and ROI. Strong technical skills in querying against and transforming big data within both traditional DW environment (SQL) and Hadoop HDFS system (Hive or Pig). Experience with ETL, building data workflow and data visualisation automation. Proficient in statistical analysis software such as R, SAS, SPSS etc as well as working knowledge of a programming language such as Python/Java/Javascript/PERL/RUBY. Excellent communications skills, with the ability to synthesise, simplify and explain complex problems to different types of audience. Ability to lead and influence stakeholders.
