LinkedIn's Analytics Team leverages big data to empower business decisions. Our team is rapidly reinventing the way that proprietary data can be converted to insights to drive consumer marketing efforts and product strategies. We're looking for a hands-on professional who is passionate about mining big data, turning data into insights, and making an impact through rigorous analysis, creative storytelling and timely actions. This person will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Engineers and Infrastructure Teams to develop and deliver data-driven models, insights and tools to ultimately drive the company's monetization efforts.

Responsibilities: Overall a highly driven, results-oriented, creative and nimble problem solver with a willingness to do "whatever it takes" to deliver business impact quickly. Ability to prioritize and set direction in a semi-chaotic fast moving environment. Analyze and mine structured and unstructured data, build data-driven predictive models and solutions to support use cases throughout Sales cycle, to help optimize for monetization, maximize customer success, and add material lift to the business. Create insightful automated dashboards and data visualizations to track key business metrics. Able to translate business objectives into actionable analysis and own end-to-end analytics, and effectively communicates complex analytics to broader audience in writing and presentation formats. Partner with cross-functional teams to lead or contribute to large-scale strategic projects as well as ongoing operational activities.
Basic Qualifications: BS in quantitative fields - Computer Science, Engineering, Operational Research, Statistics, Economics or related fields. 3+ years' experience in Analytics, ideally within the relevant domain of marketing/sales. Working experience in data mining, statistics, or predictive modeling. Experience with SQL/relational databases (Teradata, Oracle etc). Experience with R or other scripting languages for data prep, analysis, and machine learning Experience building visualization dashboards, such as Tableau, etc. Experience communicating finding to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters or PhD degree in quantitative fields - Computer Science, Engineering, Operational Research, Statistics, Economics, Marketing or related fields. 5+ years' experience in Analytics, ideally within the relevant domains of consumer internet industry, and sales or marketing areas such as segmentation, engagement, customer satisfaction, operations optimization, and ROI. Strong technical skills in querying against and transforming big data within both traditional DW environment (SQL) and Hadoop HDFS system (Hive or Pig). Experience with ETL, building data workflow, and data visualization automation. Proficient in statistical analysis software such as R, as well as working knowledge of a programming language such as Python/Java/Javascript/PERL/RUBY/CSS/HTML/D3/Highcharts Experience with Optimization modeling tools, such as AMPL Ability to lead and influence stakeholders.
