LinkedIn is looking to hire a Senior ServiceNow Developer as a member of the Global Technology Services (GTS) and work with the ServiceNow implementation team and the GTS architecture team to drive/lead ServiceNow improvements, architecture design and process and procedures.
Responsibilities: Interact with Business Analysts (BA) to gather requirements for developer consumption.
Review requirements for any gaps in functionality or questions that might come up Discuss any design decisions that may need to be considered before building or implementing the required functionality Work with BA to research new features or applications within ServiceNow or help coordinate meeting with another developer Work with developers to document ServiceNow code and configuration Work with developers to write a best practice development document (naming conventions, commenting code, code migration, etc that can be used to provide new developers with a guide on how we do what we do) Interact with developers to identify areas of improvement within the platform Work with QA Tester to ensure that QA has the information they need to do the test scenarios Work with QA Tester to provide background on the platform and questions that might come up during testing Be the point of contact for any Production issues that come up and coordinate activities to resolve them Coordinate code move to production (implementation plan & change request) Mentor junior developer(s) Research or help other developers with code or troubleshooting issues Work with HelpIn Product Owner to ensure that requirements and development efforts are efficient use of time (return on investment and benefit the company) and that we are consistent in our delivery of functionality Establish and maintain strong relationships with business and technical leaders across LinkedIn Provide technical leadership, driving and performing best engineering practices to initiate, plan, and execute critical, large-scale, cross-functional, and company-wide programs. Experience with custom application development on the ServiceNow platform.
Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of ServiceNow Architecture experience. 2+ years of ServiceNow end to end implementation (Incident Management, Asset Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Reporting, CMS). Experience demonstrating technical leadership of projects. Experience analyzing complex issues and deliver pragmatic solutions. Experience combining disparate software platform features to deliver creative solutions to business needs. Experience in Designing and building integrations from other platforms and data sources. Experience working in a global firm that implements software solutions like Service Now a plus. Must be a self-starter and possess excellent attention to detail, and effective time management skills. Experience engineering software systems of medium-to-large scope and complexity.
