Role Summary/Purpose

The Staff Technical Project Manager, GE Digital will be responsible for managing and developing content and media for the product management team within CoreTech (GE's global IT shared services organization). The Staff Technical Project Manager will deliver content for a product portfolio that drives traffic, brand awareness, and/or other key metrics using websites, online tools, videos, blogs, newsletters, infographics, resource guides, and webinars.

Essential Responsibilities

* Create content to enable customers, technologists and IT professionals across the GE businesses to stay informed about the products and strategy of product management and make good technology decisions for GE and ultimately consume our products

* Create articles, infographics, videos, white papers, internal product press releases to define CoreTech's brand, products and strategy

* Contribute to the writing editing and of product pages, CoreTech News stories, and press releases for internal product introductions-and assist in the generation and posting of technical release notes-to ensure continuously refreshed information

* Lead publicizing content across internal channels, blogs and email to increase site traffic and content promotion

* Partner with Product Management and Product Owners on content development and messaging for the Product portfolio

* Work with google analytics, marketing analyses and ensure the results from these inputs is implemented into the content strategy and design of the website

* Partner with marketing and communications to define the CoreTech brand and ensure all creative work is 'on brand' and integrated with other communications

* Create stories and messaging, showcases, and other narratives around the portfolio and overall CoreTech strategy

* Partner with Communications and Product Engagement to package up content and deliver to the customer base

* Ensure consistency in Product presentation, collateral, and communications across the entire Product portfolio

* Collaborate with IT website and page owners across CoreTech and GE businesses, and with the CoreTech product communications team, to analyze content and determine which is redundant with, or should migrate to,, or to other places such as CoreTech engineering sites

* Maintain and update product pages, Resources and other sections to ensure continuously refresh information with working links

* Ensure appropriate placement of links to from other sites, track where those links are placed, and put into place a process for ensuring that the links remain fresh

* Ensure proper links from to other sites from product pages and other parts of site, and work with the rest of the CoreTech product communications team to keep links fresh

* Establish communications plans for website sunsets and collaborate with GE development teams to create notices and redirects, and to decommission sites

* Develop the image search, tagging, article and image repository and ensure they are specifically geared toward the needs of the site


Basic Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Product Management/Marketing, or other technical / IT field

* Minimum of 2 years experience in communications or media management with a minimum of 1 year of experience working with digital content

* Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital media and/or website content development

Eligibility Requirements

* Preferred location of the GE GO CoreTech Solutions Atlanta, GA or Van Buren Township, MI offices. Open to GO CoreTech Solutions locations globally, but MUST work out of a GO CoreTech Solutions location

* Must be willing to travel 10-15% of the time

* Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job

* Experience in web content generation

Desired Characteristics

* Demonstrated ability to create high quality content and experience maintaining web pages

* Familiarity with a content management system such as WordPress, managing image files, adobe creative suite

* Proven track record of creating content for a product portfolio that drives traffic, brand awareness, and/or other key metrics (examples include online tools, eBooks, infographics, resource guides, webinars, etc.)

* Excellent communication, participation and influencing skills to work with the internal team as well as with external organizations

* Demonstrated customer focus - Works to see ideas through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships; creates processes with customer viewpoint; partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives

* Deadline oriented to meet commitments

* A track record of successfully delivering websites, mobile media and content

* Experienced writing copy for blogs, newsletters and copy for websites

* Experience working in a team of product managers, content and digital media professionals is preferred
