Job Description: Design, develop and manage real time and batch predictive models selecting the most appropriate modeling techniques, including but not limited to simulation modeling, advance (multiple) regression analysis, logistic regression, cluster analysis and forecasting using time series analysis. Interact with multiple business areas to gather and interpret business requirements and deliver a data-based solution. Analyze numerous variables across large samples, and identify new patterns and variables. Prepare Microsoft Word or PowerPoint presentations around model performance and business intelligence for other analysts and multiple levels of leadership. Participate in internal analytics community to share and learn new skills and establish a common vision. Lead and participate in projects that require advanced data and business analysis skills including best in practice statistical methodologies and modeling. Forecast key metrics for financial, operations and call center divisions, as well as developing and maintaining statistical models for operations, risk, fraud and other business units. Work independently and in a team to provide strategic and tactical, data based, solutions and recommendations to our business partners.
Must have a Master of Science degree or equivalent in Engineering, Statistics or related field and 4 years of experience* in Data Analysis, 2 years of which must be in Simulation Modeling. Must also have experience in: Statistics; Writing code in SAS programming environment; Writing complex (nested) SQL queries in applications like TOAD or Netezza; VBA Programming; MS Visio (version 2003); Daily, monthly, seasonal and ad-hoc forecasting based on historical trends; Time Series modeling; Linear regression and multivariate regression; Designing, developing and managing real-time batch statistical models; Modeling techniques, including but not limited to logistic regression, cluster analysis, and forecasting using time series analysis; Analyzing numerous variables across very large samples (more than 5 million observations); Analysis of Variance (ANOVA); Unix; Oracle, SQL, DB2, Access; SAS Enterprise Guide 4, Base SAS 9.1 or 9.2, JMP; Writing SAS macros and running in Unix environment; Automating SAS program and code to run in virtual environment; Creating PowerPoint presentation based on statistical analysis; Presenting results from statistical models including data tables, graphs and pivot tables using Microsoft 2010 versions of Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint; and Must have course work in simulation, statistics and probability. 10-15% nationwide travel required.
