Global Commercial Operations Information Systems (GCOIS) is seeking a Strategic Planning and Agile Delivery Sr Manager to play a key role to shape our next generation operating model supporting US Commercial Operations (USBO). This is a unique opportunity to drive best practices and establish a portfolio/project engagement model that will help the organization extract the full value from its technology investment. We believe the best teachers are also practitioners so this role will be committed to furthering the art and science of delivering large scale IS investments, running large projects and helping others get better at doing the same. It involve delivering fast and predictable business value with a high degree of autonomy.
Key Responsibilities
Transition existing portfolio/project management practices into new operating model using the latest bi-model IT practicesRemoves hurdles for teams to fully adopt best practices and comply with organizational standards
Facilitates USBO IS portfolio process from long range plans through annual budget cycles
Ensures effective automation of portfolio processes through technology (Rally, PRE3, ServiceNow) to reduce burden on project teams and service owners
Builds process credibility with stakeholders and teams through extensive change management
Manage high dollar, large scale IT investment projects and oversee quality of other delivery managers
Act as internal SME and thought leader to influence USBO IS direction and success
Support Executive Director and represent USBO IS portfolio in cross-functional initiatives
Partners with global strategy planners, management and wholesale IS teams and builds influential relationships to align practices and provide transparency to management and stakeholders
Provides regular management level reporting of USBO IS investments to share team successes and enable future resourcing and investment decisions
Build up USBO IS capability to deliver projects and manage a portfolio, own methodology, drive innovation and continuous improvementMaximize adoption and maturation of all tools available to drive/achieve measurable results
Enable Product Owners and Business Analysts to adopt lean practices for developing solutions
Enable project teams to effectively execute agile projects and leverage develops to optimize run operations
Engage with external professionals and make routine assessments of new/changing IS practices to ensure teams are operating at peak efficiency
Provides framework for Service Owners to facilitate routine "Service Health Checks" with stakeholders
Establish and monitor KPIs for portfolio, projects and service delivery to anticipate problems, improve processes and illustrate health of portfolio
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree AND 2 years of Information Systems experience
OR Master's degree AND 6 years of Information Systems experience
OR Bachelor's degree AND 8 years of Information Systems experience
OR Associate's degree AND 10 years of Information Systems experience
OR High School diploma/GED AND 12 years of Information Systems experience
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science
In depth understanding of IS portfolio/project management concepts
Excellent organization, and team collaboration skills
Eye for details
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment
Ability to thrive with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
Strong team leadership skills
Strong knowledge of business objectives
Understanding of software development lifecycles
