Position Description:

Requires unique combination of competency in IT, law, and general business and ability to assess associated risks for given business situation (e.g. cloud, open source software). Work with internal customers help ensure compliance with current policies, develop new processes to ensure future compliance, evaluate the suitability. Hold negotiations with 3rd parties in IT transactions Manage complex IT transaction projects with 3rd parties to achieve required deadlines Participate in cross-functional teams formed to ensure that business objectives and requirements are met with a given transaction Ensure effective ongoing relationships with 3rd parties with whom there are existing transactions (licenses, agreements, regulatory) Participate in IT Supplier Relationship Management activities Consult to business partners on proposed or completed transactions in order to aid their decision making and risk assessment Provide proactive decision making information for contracts and other related legal documents

Skills Required:

Experience with drafting IT technology Experience with coding and/or IT operations Experience servicing customers in various IT transactions Experience with negotiating IT technology contracts Experience with open source software licenses Experience managing relationships with IT 3rd party suppliers Experience in public speaking and presentations development in the context of the qualifications Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting critical deadlines Ability to service customers by: o Listening to ascertain business needs and clear objectives o Identifying the key drivers in various transactions / focusing on the true issue o Balancing enterprise risk factors with business partner"s goals o Setting strategy and defining actions to achieve the strategy o Applying industry knowledge to drafting agreements and conducting negotiations o Motivating and leading diverse virtual teams brought together to execute a particular transaction

Experience Required:

Experience Preferred:

. Key role in numerous types of transactions (services, hardware, software, data) resulting in a required breadth of competence leading to customized services for each customer. . Multiple projects to manage simultaneously, each with critical deadlines. . Requires management of cross functional /multi-departmental global projects . many perspectives, cultures, geographies to involve, manage, influence within Ford and the supplier"s organization. . Requires constant balancing of customer"s goals with overall corporate risk management (balancing pressing project needs with prudent risk management) resulting in the need to frequently use mediation, problem solving, communication, and influencing skills. . Requires ability to understand the motivations of each party in a transaction and translate that into a win-win solution. Ability to leverage limited resources to achieve goals Creativity in finding win-win solutions in negotiations and terms Ability to drive to proactively manage 3rd party supplier issues/relationships Communication - translating legal risk stemming from IT activities into business risk.

Education Required:

Law Degree Bachelors Degree in a technical or business field/ or relevant experience (Information technology industry experience sufficient to understand IT requirements, technology products/services, and assess risks) (Application development / Java experience helpful)
