Current Need

We have an outstanding, new business growth opportunity for the right candidate! The position of Strategic Sourcing Solution Sales Executive has recently become available. This individual will be responsible for closing new business sales by providing consultative sales support in an assigned region. Primary focus will be selling a focused cost savings, supply chain solution to executives/C-suite at Integrated Delivery Networks, Group Purchasing Organizations and Hospitals. You will be responsible for selling our new Strategic Supply Sourcing Solution. Specific modules include: Advanced Contracting, Portfolio Management and Value Analysis.


With the new McKesson Strategic Supply Sourcing™ solution, you can drive data accuracy and promote dramatic cost savings through the first industry formulary-based procurement suite with the ease of consumer on-line shopping.  Powered by Amazon Web Services™ and a supply chain artificial intelligence engine, the heart of our solution is an eCommerce marketplace. The marketplace provides full eCommerce services to hundreds of vendors and transaction sets, containing more than 1.7 million items – including photos and full-length product descriptions.


Location: Remote/telecommuter position. Must live close to a major metro airport in the Eastern  U.S. and be willing to do up to 60% overnight travel.

Position Description

Manage assigned territory to sell new business Strategic Sourcing Solution software and services into assigned region consisting of large IDN’s and hospitals.

Travel to customer sites to coordinate presentations, conduct demonstrations and facilitate site visits.

Manage time and resources effectively to meet territory sales objectives and improve customer relationship.

Maintain industry and product knowledge and inform company of changing market conditions and competitive issues. Understanding of e-healthcare market space.

Collaborate and coordinate activities on account strategies of sales opportunities to new accounts with the Strategic Customer Development team.

Manage sales activities and qualification of opportunities within the CRM system so that sales activity is accurately forecasted and reported to management

Drive opportunities to close by successfully negotiating contracts and influencing key decision makers.

Drive sales process for new sales in hospital accounts where product set is a stand- alone sales strategy.

Identify and coordinate activities with key sales resources from various organizations.

Embrace the Challenger Sales methodology.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

8+years new account sales experience

Critical Skills

5+ year’s successful healthcare technology sales experience to hospitals selling ERP solutions – Materials Management, Financial Management & Supply Chain Management Solutions.

5+ years sales experience with large healthcare facility experience and verifiable experience consistently exceeding large quotas

Adept with selling at high levels in the healthcare market (CEO, COO, CIO, CFO and VP of Purchasing level)

Results driven, excellent communication and presentation skills.

Strong negotiation, conflict management & customer service skills.


Additional Knowledge & Skills

Experience with eCommerce solutions preferred

Knowledge of sales territory management (Salesforce.com experience a plus)

Proven ability to manage multiple, diverse projects and sales events simultaneously.

Proficient in strategic sales account planning skills.

Education
4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience

Certifications/Licensure


Physical Requirements

Up to 60% overnight travel required
