LinkedIn for Good at (LIFG) is hiring a summer intern to help support its programs supporting underserved youth, veterans, and refugees. LIFG s mission is to connect underserved communities with the networks, information, and opportunities they need to succeed. We realize that economic opportunity isn't distributed evenly - and that some communities face greater obstacles than others when it comes to building networks and accessing opportunity. What if everyone could be connected to people who could guide and inspire them, and connected to the knowledge and opportunities that could transform them? At LinkedIn, we believe this is possible.
Responsibilities may include:
  • Help drive key programmatic activities for signature LIFG program(s), such as:
  • Mentor Connect: teaching nonprofits how to find mentors on LinkedIn for the people they serve
  • LinkedIn Gives: internal crowd-funding platform that allows our employees to raise money for the causes they care about
  • Support event planning and coordination with partner nonprofits
  • Author 3-4 internal posts that highlight employees doing amazing social impact work
  • Develop partnership pipeline process to capture partners and key players in the social impact space
  • Help explore what a 'creating economic opportunity metric could look like for our team to represent our success across various programs and audiences
  • Coordinate LIFG budget and establish a more efficient way to track our budget and spend
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be currently enrolled in a full time degree program and returning to the program after the completion of the internship
  • Students must have the ability to participate in a 12 week summer internship program
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Superb project management skills
  • Able to manage multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Social media experience a plus
