Position Summary:
As a Clinical Services Supervisor, you will have an exciting opportunity to hire, train, and manage a staff of individuals supporting Medicare clients in The Prior Authorizations and Coverage Determinations Department. This Supervisor role will allow you to work across multiple sites supporting Coverage Determinations and Appeals Operations. You will participate in departmental workflow and workforce manage to ensure smooth operations.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supervising and evaluating daily activities for all staff
  • Monitoring productivity and the quality of your direct reports
  • Creating and maintaining standard operation procedure documentation Identifying training and growth opportunity needs for direct reports
  • Conducting annual evaluations of employees
  • Working closely with account services for new and existing and client implementations
  • Managing the department to provide high quality delivery of work to support the Medicare Prior Authorization system

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate an ability to be innovate and proactive to resolve problems, possess good people skills and exercise good judgment to contribute to a positive team environment. You will also need to be flexible with working a rotating schedule, including overtime and weekends.

Required Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of experience using the Microsoft Office Suite
  • 3 months+ of previous healthcare experience, preferably pharmacy experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships
  • Experience with handling escalations and resolving problems/issues
  • Ability to positively deal with change and promote a positive work environment
  • Previous experience working with Prior Authorizations

  • Verifiable High School Diploma Or GED Required
  • Bachelor degree preferred
